This piece is a personal take on the French file cabinets of the late 19th Century. The tambour door contains a marquetry motif inspired by Gaspar Homar’s art nouveau designs. The inside is made of hard maple and cedar of Lebanon, which yields a light appearance and a sweet lingering scent. It can be used as a middle-of-the-room piece or as an ambience separation. To this effect, the back was gilded, echoing the front motif. The marquetry was designed and executed in collaboration with Beatriz Zuazo and Xènia Garrofé. This piece is shortlisted in the Maker Of The Year Award 2023, World category.
